Coverage and bulletin details

The Terrain guides cover the 2018–2022 model years with the 1.5L LYX. GM lists the Terrain and the Chevrolet Equinox together in the same documents, so each guide covers both vehicles and gives the Terrain its own rows in the application table.

Three GM documents carry that coverage. Bulletin 22-NA-224 ties reduced engine power, and codes that include P0299 and P1101, to a charge air cooler outlet tube that has separated from the throttle body. Bulletin 20-NA-047 ties P1101 and front or rear crankshaft oil leaks to high crankcase pressure from a plugged PCV orifice. Preliminary information PIP5402D adds a coupler O-ring check for 2018–2019 only.

Two details are easy to miss. PIP5402D also lists the 2.0L LTG, but the other two documents do not, so their findings are not references for a 2.0L Terrain. And where GM gives warranty labor time, the guides quote it in hours, such as 0.4 hr to install the charge air tube retainer kit. None of the documents gives a price.

The Sierra and Yukon guides cover P0442, P0446 and P0455, and which bulletin applies depends on model and year. 23-NA-073 covers the Sierra 1500 from the 2019 new model through 2023 and the 2500 HD/3500 HD from 2020 to 2024, where dust can plug the canister and vent solenoid on trucks used in extremely dusty environments. 09-06-04-028D covers the 2007–2010 Yukon and Yukon XL 1500, with water or corrosion at the canister vent solenoid valve. For P0442 and P0455, 21-NA-124 also covers GM gasoline vehicles from 2000 to 2021.
