What the site is

Check Engine Solutions is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by General Motors, Chevrolet or Buick. Our guides explain what GM's own service bulletins say, using the public copies archived by NHTSA. Each guide links to the bulletin and page it relies on.

The guides are for information only. They are not a substitute for diagnosis by a qualified technician. Before any work, confirm the current VIN-specific service information for your vehicle.

No warranty

We work to keep each guide faithful to the bulletin it cites. Even so, the site is provided as it is, without any warranty. We don't promise that a guide is complete, current or correct for your particular vehicle.

Safety

Working on a vehicle can injure you and can damage the vehicle. Any work you do yourself is at your own risk. Follow GM's procedures and safety precautions for the job. If you are unsure, have the work done by a qualified technician.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Check Engine Solutions is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage that results from using this site or acting on what it says. That includes repair costs and damage to a vehicle.

Trademarks

GM, Chevrolet and Buick names and marks belong to General Motors, and so does the content of GM service bulletins. Any other names and marks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the vehicles and documents a guide discusses.

Links to other sites

Guides link to sites we don't control, including the public copies of GM bulletins. We aren't responsible for what those sites contain or whether they stay available. Our affiliate disclosure explains any links to products, and our privacy page explains how we measure visits.

We may update these terms. The date below shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
